Why it’s a little special

A detective plot and a forbidden romance expand the saga's conflicts. Older children can discuss how fear and anger affect decisions long before the final battle.

US film rating

War, decapitation, loss of a limb, bereavement, and a character admitting to killing children. Romantic material and dark emotional themes make this an intense PG choice.

Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
