Why it’s a little special

Dwayne Johnson's grounded driver provides an easy entry into the busy science-fiction chase. The reluctant adult gradually taking the children seriously is the most satisfying relationship.

US film rating

Frequent pursuit, gunfire, explosions and fighting. Young people are threatened and captured, while an armored alien attacker supplies several sudden scares.

Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
