View film informationWhy it’s a little special
Inventive sets and eccentric encounters make the journey feel like a live-action cartoon. Pee-wee's attachment to his bicycle gives the oddity a wonderfully simple motive.
BEFORE YOU PRESS PLAY
Know the story.
Know your little people.
A famously frightening ghost-trucker scene, unsettling dreams, threats, fights, and an adult setting or two. Some younger viewers may find the tonal shifts startling.
Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
