Why it’s a little special

Puppet mayhem and pirate adventure fit together remarkably well. Tim Curry's Silver gives the silliness an engaging opponent without crowding out Jim's story.

General audiences

US film rating

Pirates threaten children and adults with weapons, and mutiny brings danger. A character dies early, while skeletons, drinking references and mild innuendo appear among the jokes.

Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
