Why it’s a little special

Brendan Fraser's cheerful physical comedy carries a deliberately silly adventure. The narrator's interruptions and constant tree collisions make it a good choice for a laugh-first evening.

US film rating

Comic injuries, gun threats, animal capture and mild sexual innuendo. Some cultural depictions and the outsider's view of Africa are broad stereotypes.

Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
