BIG ADVENTURES · JUST FOR LAUGHS
Bolt from the Blue.
An engineer follows an unlikely idea into the Alaskan wilderness.
Engineer Mia Ibarra travels to Alaska to investigate a scientist's claim that lightning could supply renewable energy. The research operation turns out to be far less polished than expected, but a collection of improvised equipment and stubborn dreamers draws her into a risky experiment that challenges her plans for the future.
Why it’s a little special
An offbeat science adventure about taking ideas seriously while questioning the people and promises behind them.
BEFORE YOU PRESS PLAY
Know the story.
Know your little people.
The US PG rating cites language, mild peril and thematic elements. Storms, electricity and improvised experiments create danger, while adult frustrations shape much of the humor. The lightning-catching premise is fictional entertainment and should not be copied.
Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
