Why it’s a little special

A quieter fantasy that takes its child's feelings seriously. The forest setting and soft-spoken friendship make the moments of trust feel as important as the dragon spectacle.

US film rating

Pete's parents die in an opening car accident. The dragon is hunted and captured, with guns, fire, a damaged bridge and emotional separations.

Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
