Why it’s a little special

The gadgets are fun, but the encouraging attitude toward failure is the real draw. It gives would-be inventors permission to get something wrong and keep going.

General audiences

US film rating

Adoption, abandonment and loneliness are important themes. A sinister bowler hat controls people, and a dark alternate future includes frightening imagery.

Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
