Toy Story 2
100%TomatometerSome things are too good to shelve.
A lost boy and a searching community refuse to give up.
During a 1939 family hike on Maine's Mount Katahdin, twelve-year-old Donn Fendler becomes separated from his group in bad weather. Alone in the wilderness, he struggles with cold, hunger and exhaustion while his family and a growing team of volunteers search for him. The drama draws on Fendler's account of his nine-day ordeal.
A survival story that gives as much weight to the people searching for Donn as to the boy finding the strength to keep moving.
The US PG rating cites thematic elements, peril, language and injury images. A child spends days alone without adequate food, clothing or shelter, and his family fears he may have died. Storms, falls and visible injuries can be upsetting; the sustained distress may be too intense for sensitive younger viewers.
Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
