BIG ADVENTURES · BIG FEELINGS
I Am Frankelda.
The author has entered her own nightmare.
A young Mexican writer whose stories are dismissed finds herself inside the unsettling world she imagined. With a troubled prince as her guide, Frankelda must protect her voice as a storyteller before that world unravels.
Why it’s a little special
Elaborate handmade puppets and theatrical songs turn artistic frustration into a gothic adventure. No knowledge of the earlier series is required to meet this determined heroine.
BEFORE YOU PRESS PLAY
Know the story.
Know your little people.
Intense horror imagery, monstrous transformations, violence, bloody images, peril and themes of rejection, loss and death. Despite its PG rating, its sustained nightmare atmosphere is better approached with a child's scare tolerance in mind.
Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
