BIG ADVENTURES · BIG FEELINGS
Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio.
A wooden boy. A very human heart.
A grieving woodcarver's puppet comes to life in an Italian village under fascist rule. Pinocchio's curiosity leads him into a traveling show and a dangerous world where obedience is valued more than kindness.
Why it’s a little special
Detailed stop-motion animation frames a thoughtful story about fathers, children, mortality and choosing your own conscience.
BEFORE YOU PRESS PLAY
Know the story.
Know your little people.
An emotionally intense PG film: a child's death, repeated deaths and resurrections, grief, fascism, war, guns, cruelty and frightening supernatural figures. Drinking and dark humor.
Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
