BIG ADVENTURES · BIG FEELINGS
Chupa.
A lonely boy finds family while protecting an unexpected friend.
Visiting relatives in Mexico, Alex discovers a young chupacabra hiding at his grandfather’s ranch. The creature is far gentler than the frightening legend Alex has heard, but a scientist is determined to capture it. With help from his cousins and his grandfather, Alex sets out to protect his new companion and begins to reconnect with the family and heritage he has kept at a distance.
Why it’s a little special
A creature adventure that connects Mexican folklore and lucha libre with a story about grief, belonging and accepting help from family.

Know the story.
Know your little people.
The official US PG rating cites some action, peril and thematic elements. A scientist pursues and threatens the creature, and the adventure includes chases, falls and frightening moments. Alex’s father has died, while his grandfather’s memory problems and the possibility of separation may be upsetting.
Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
