BIG FEELINGS
You Gotta Believe.
A baseball team finds a reason to play beyond the scoreboard.
A struggling youth baseball team from Fort Worth dedicates its season to a player's seriously ill father. As coaches and children learn to trust one another, their unexpected winning run carries them toward the 2002 Little League World Series. The games become a shared source of purpose for a family facing an uncertain future.
Why it’s a little special
Baseball action and a family illness story invite conversations about teamwork, sportsmanship and showing up for people beyond the field.
BEFORE YOU PRESS PLAY
Know the story.
Know your little people.
The US PG rating cites thematic content, language and suggestive references. A parent's serious cancer and the prospect of losing him carry considerable emotional weight. Expect some swearing, teasing and a suggestive joke alongside competitive pressure; the illness story may be difficult for children dealing with bereavement.
Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
