Why it’s a little special

A scrappy ensemble story that values unusual children, imperfect grown-ups, and the courage to perform without pretending to be someone else.

US film rating

A mother's death, bullying, poverty, mild profanity, adult smoking, and bathroom humor. Several characters experience humiliation before finding support.
