Why it’s a little special

The awkward transformations create a playful family farce. A child trying to get adults to believe an impossible story keeps the old-fashioned mystery moving.

General audiences

US film rating

A father threatens dogs with a gun, and spies pursue the young hero. Reckless driving, comic violence and dated attitudes toward family roles accompany the transformation jokes.

Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
