Why it’s a little special

A cheerful racing comedy with a surprisingly expressive car at its center. The mechanical gags and underdog contests make easy company for a family movie night.

General audiences

US film rating

Racing crashes, reckless driving and threats to wreck a car. Herbie attempts to drive off a bridge, and some human characterizations are dated stereotypes.

Our notes are a starting point, not an age recommendation. G and PG films can still include intense moments. You know your family best.
